So, I am in the process of creating my Youtube Channel and it is a very exciting journey, I must say! I discovered that there is so much to share, so much to learn and so much to observe in life. We really cannot afford to stop learning. After all, are progressive beings!
As someone who is now blogging for half a year, I started noticing that there are many people who desire to blog. Or at least, who wanted to learn about “the art of blogging”. It’s funny how we start noticing that which we decide to focus on in our daily lives – I’m sure most of you have experienced that as well at some point.
The question most people asked me when it comes to the content was “But what should I blog about?” Well, that is a good question. It may be a daunting one too. There is one thing I believe one should discover before starting to blog. And really, blogging is not the ultimate result that comes out of that discovery – it simply is the tool you choose to bring that to life.
So what is that discovery? Well, in my journey prior to blogging, I learned that looking into yourself and uncovering who you are is the answer to that question. Because this will open your eyes to the potential, the talents, the gifts, the inclinations, the passions you have inside yourself. THESE are what will inform the content of your blog – if the blog is the medium you’d like to use. There are many others that can serve you well, it all depends on your discovery. 😉
Unfortunately, we do not spend time getting to know ourselves. Society makes it look like you constantly have to be around people, most of the time merely wasting your time with casualties that are, frankly, unimportant, at the end of the day. We do not want to be alone, by ourselves, studying ourselves, observing ourselves, uncovering ourselves – knowing ourselves. We fear alone-time and try to find our identity in the external world rather than looking into the inside of us. This is one of the reasons why we literally constantly pursue relationships. The thought of solitude already makes us cringe even though we actually deprive ourselves from one of the greatest discoveries we could ever make in life, if we avoid it.
It is a sad reality. But one that can be challenged and, ultimately, changed – for the better.
Hence, keep in mind: All forms of achievements are a triumph of discipline – discipline to know yourself, to put in the hard work to develop that self and express it to the world.
